With Britmums Live only one day away (squee!) I thought I would share with you a few bits and bobs I am taking with me.
I wanted to do a 'What's in my suitcase' video but unfortunately disorganised me (I know who would have thought it?!) still hasn't got a case let alone packed it! So I am just going to tell you what's going in and will leave the rest to your wonderful imaginations!
First things first...Toothbrush...Never ever never ever never forget your toothbrush!
Ok so the usual items...underwear, socks, hairbrush, pyjama's, bla bla bla...then comes the wash/makeup bag!
My Make-Up Essentials
I am not by any means close to being a beauty blogger, most of you know me well enough now to know make-up for me consists of perhaps 3 items maybe 4 so here they are...my old faithfuls!
Garnier BB Cream - I have this in Light which I believe is the fairest tone they have. I discovered this a couple of years back when it was released and on special offer and fell in love. I am not sure if it was the original BB cream but it was one of the first ones I saw advertised. It is so easy to apply and is the consistency of a tinted moisturiser so applies really well, I use my fingers and rub it in! Gives a nice natural coverage with none of the heaviness of foundation.
Avon Spectralash Mascara - This is one of those 3 click ones which adjusts the amount of product on the comb depending on how heavy you want it. I use setting 1 for daytime and boost to 3 for nights out. It is a bit more clumpy than most mascara's but once combed through it is really volumising. I do wear black mascara despite my colouring which surprises people but I am happy with it!
Avon Glow Bronzing Pearls - I use these to just add a bit of colour, they are quite light tones so not too orange and I have quite red cheeks naturally so don't tend to use a blusher as such just a flutter of bronzer.
Vaseline/Carmex/Whatever I have in my bag - I like using a clear lipbalm as I have yet to find a lipstick I really like, I feel like an old lady wearing lippy!
Inside the Satchel
My new cream satchel is the perfect size for everything I should need for a busy day at BritMums. I must admit I got a little over excited when I thought about what I would take for the daytime and brought myself lots of new things.
- My super cute notepads from Happy Jackson, I love these!
- Colourful pens for making notes and doodling.
- Big notepad and diary for if my little ones get a bit full up.
- Anti-bac Gel because....Germs!
- Headache Balm
- Body Spray to make me smell b-e-a-utiful!
- Tickets galore, both train and BritMums
- Purse for spending too much money
- Kirby grips
In the big case!
- My outfits for the days as mentioned in my What I am Wearing to BritMums post last week.
- Underwear...because commando is not for BritMums
- Shoes x 3 pairs!
- Dry Shampoo in case I need a boost for the evenings.
- Phone charger - a must!
Last but not least though are my amazing business cards! I got these made up by Print-Print after I won them in a competition (eep!). They are really amazing quality, matt laminated on both sides and really thick which is great. The team were amazing and helped me adjust my design and eventually remake my design to their requirements, keeping me up to date the whole way.
I am really pleased with how they have turned out and feel like a proper little blogger now with my pro business cards as my first ones were a freebie so had a big brand logo across the bottom. I shall now feel proud to be able to introduce myself and with 500 of them I think I can afford to be generous with them....who wants one?!
It is now 10pm and I am yet to put all my belongings in my case, get a bath, pack Ted's bag for spending the day with his Auntie and run through a checklist with Joe to reassure myself that the family won't fall apart without me!
I have recorded a Youtube video going through my bags, its my first video and the quality sucks, I have scruffy hair, no makeup and am in my living room on a beanbag...but hey!
BritMums Live here I come!!!
