Our Story

This is Joe and I when we were little. We had a joint birthday party which was Movie Star themed. I think I was Sharon Stone...thanks Mum....I had no idea who she was and Joe was Clint Eastwood. Little did we know that in 16 years time we would be sharing a birthday party again!

There we stood, two innocent children, totally unaware of what our futures held. Most people who know us would have heard our story many a time but for those that haven't here it is in short.

Our sisters were at nursery together when we all lived down south and our Mum's became friends. That left me and Joe forced to see each other. Joe was a hyperactive cheeky boy in another class of the same school year. I was a quiet shy little girl with a love for drawing and finding treasures.

My family moved to Northampton and a short while after Joe's moved up North too and that was that. Our Mum's sent letters to catch up and we would get Christmas cards but it wasn't until 2008 when the wonderful world of Facebook brought us all back together and I received a birthday message from Joe that our lives reconnected.

After a few weeks catching up online and over the phone we decided it was time to meet up. I plucked up the courage to drive to Shropshire to see him! That is a whole long story in itself - "My Journey".

We traveled back and forth for a good 5-6 months and each time we left it got harder and harder to say goodbye. So, we made the decision to move in together. Joe moved down to Northampton and the rest as they say was history!

I am sharing this story for #MagicMoments and #WhatsTheStory
with The Olivers Madhouse and PODcast.
