As this is my first Magic Moment and I have only just discovered it I am a day late but hey at the moment my brain seems to be a day late for most things...New Mummy Syndrome...Its a medical term!
So here we go...
I have blogged a lot about my most Magical Moment of course which was the birth of my beautiful baby boy, Ted. So now is my chance to share with you another wonderful moment in time...
Back in September last year while I was pregnant with Ted, my boyfriend and our best friends went on holiday to Bournemouth to enjoy the air show and get a much needed break away before baby arrived!
I did far more walking than I should have been doing in my condition but had a lovely day watching the aeroplanes and as the sun began to set the hunger kicked in and we headed for some food.
None of us had got to a cash point and the only place we could find that was still serving food was good old Harry Ramsdens! Between the 4 of us we managed to scrape together enough money for 2 sausages and 2 portions of chips, yet in our starving state it was the best half a sausage and chips any of us had ever eaten!!!
Now you may be thinking my story is about our wonderful sausage and chips but as magically satisfying as they were, it wouldn't make a very good story!
After our sausage and chips we took a walk down the beach ready to watch the firework display, my feet were hurting and I had sand in my turn ups but I was with my best friends in the whole world and my lovely boyfriend and things couldn't get better...or so i thought!
As we watched the moon reflecting on the sea, the fireworks started. Meatloaf's Bat out of Hell was being played on the pier and the fireworks were being set off from a boat on the sea, it was beautiful. It was then that Joe took my hand and told me how much he loved me (and lots more things that I don't want to share with the world) and as he got down on one knee and pulled a small square box out of his pocket there was only 4 words that came next...
WILL YOU MARRY ME?
...and I cried...and I said yes...and we hugged...and kissed...and smiled...and I admired my beautiful ring!
That was a truly magical moment and one I will never forget!
