All Hallows Eve...

I attended an age old tradition of Pumpkin Carving last night! My friends had a few people over and we got messy with a carving contest and tested our Halloween knowledge with a quiz and I am extremely proud to say I won both!!! I am now the proud owner of 3 wind up toys, a brain, a cauldron and a heart! :)

The quiz proved extremely difficult and although most of the questions were based on the history of Halloween, myself and my partner in crime managed to bag the prize! :D

The Carving on the other hand was right up my street and although the lack of experience with a knife and a round object gave me a slight handicap, i managed to give my evil looking Jack O Lantern life! Secretly I think I won because I didn't use a template when others did :)

So here is my finished piece...

And so we move on to today's random but enjoyable day, I decided that I was going to be a Zombie even if I had no body to go with (I'm sure there is a skeleton joke in there somewhere!)

I got out all of my white, grey, red, blue and black eye shadows and armed with my brushes and a deep red lip gloss I set to work!

About half an hour later I was beginning to look like I had been in some horrific experiment to crossbreed a Zombie with a Vampire...Well they are both the Undead!

Finished with my grey contact lenses, my creation was complete! Only to then have to wipe it all off and do some housework :( Still....I had fun doing it and now have some pics to enter in to whatever random competitions I can find! :D
Now to finish with a scary story...

"A young girl is left home alone with only her dog to protect her. When night approaches, she locks all the doors and tries to lock all the windows but one won't close.

She decides to leave it unlocked and goes to bed. Her dog takes its customary place under her bed.

In the deep of night she awakens to a dripping sound coming from the bathroom. The girl is too scared to go check so she reaches her hand under the bed. She feels a reassuring lick from her dog and falls back to sleep. She reawakens to the dripping sound, reaches her hand down to the dog where she feels the reassuring lick and falls back to sleep. Once more she awakens to the dripping sound. She reaches her hand down and feels the lick of her dog.

Now curious about the dripping sound, she gets up and slowly walks towards the bathroom, the dripping sound getting louder as she approaches. She reaches the bathroom and turns on the light. She is greeted by a horrific sight; hanging from the shower nozzle is her dog with its throat slit open and its blood dripping into the bathtub.

Something on the bathroom mirror catches her eye she turns around. Written on the bathroom mirror in her dog's blood are the words "HUMANS CAN LICK TOO".
